Rich Products Celebrates Atrium Renovation Project

A $18.5 million renovation project that converted the 25-year-old Rich Renaissance Niagara Atrium to the Rich’s Innovation Center, signals a new approach to service and accessibility for Rich Product Corporation’s global customer base, while enhancing the collaborative work experience for associates at the headquarters and around world. The new-look Atrium @ Rich’s serves up an expanded venue for public and private event hosting and catering excellence, accommodating social and business gatherings
for up to 1,000 attendees.
The 84,000 sq. ft. Innovation Center offers a new brand of collaborative meeting functionality, complete with broadcast-enabled presentation and learning areas and an ultra-modern test kitchen, equipped with communications technologies to link associates and customers around the world.
The One Robert Rich Way building dates to 1916. It has housed a variety of companies over the last century, including the E.R. Thomas Motor Company and the Curtiss Aeroplane Company. The Rich Renaissance Niagara Atrium opened in spring 1989.
The Atrium @ Rich’s event space has been transformed into a venue that will excite and impress guests, from intimate gatherings, to the largest formal affairs. A three-story, brick fireplace, built with 20,000 bricks reclaimed from a warehouse in Chicago and an adjacent three-story photo wall of past and current associates rises above a café seating area highlight the space. Thirty private events are booked for the second half of 2014 with a projection of 60-100 events for a full year.

was general contractor.
With completion of the Innovation Center and Atrium project, Rich’s has reinvested more than $88 million in its Buffalo headquarters since 2007. The campus currently employs 782 associates and has added 22 newly-created positions over the past year.
Rich’s posts annual sales exceeding $3.3 billion, operates 34 manufacturing facilities spanning six continents, and employs more than 9,200 people across the world.
